As most of our family and friends know, the Dittmer family has had quite a year. The situation that comes to the mind of most is that of Mom Dittmer - her asthma attack, her flatline, her slip into a coma (told to be ready to 'pull the plug'), and the journey to the point where she is back full time teaching in her kindergarten classroom.
Throughout the process the non-typically technology savvy Dittmers happened to blog: our thoughts, reactions, emotions, and -of course- our quirky humor. Whether it's pictures of the kindergarten class dog taken around the hospital or mom pretending to choke on corn her first day out in rehab, humor has been a big part of it all. The blog has now been hit just under 30,000 times.
Now that mom is basically back to "normal" (doctor's words - we know she was never normal) there isn't a plethora of information to blog about. However, we have had a number of requests for the family to continue sharing thoughts. So... now we have a blog. This is also my (Abby) way of learning more about technology for work.
You're invited to interact with this - we don't promise anything amazing. We do promise you'll get a handful of weird stories, some random pondering, and if you're lucky- a recipe for perfect pie crust from the farm.
